France – Guests: Katie Beckett & Kaleb Drew
Ever wondered what kind of music you’d be listening to if you are walking on the streets of Paris?! Well… two of Georgia Tech’s students Katie and KalebĀ just came back from their summer study abroad and shared with us the music that was all over France! You’d be surprise to find out that most popular songs in France are in English!!! and yes even the French singers sing in English. So in the first hour of the August 25 show we played the songs that Katie compiled after her return from France. Also in between songs we talked about their experiences in France such as food, Obama’s trip to France, lack of air conditioners, public transportation, etc. After tonight’s show, I am left with a very puzzling question: with the widespread influence of U.S. modern music, what would be heard on Continental Drift show in a few decades?!
