Caribbean Islands
On this edition of the Continental Drift show we “went” around the Caribbean Islands and played quality diverse music from these beautiful places. Although we did not have a theme country on this edition but Cuba was the dominant part of the show. One the most interesting aspects of the Caribbean music is its diversity and multiple influences from all over the globe such as African, Spanish, and Native-American all of which blend to create variety of styles, moods, and grooves. On this show we tried to have a reasonable coverage of this amazing diversity and as always we ended the show with the Global Shuffle segment where we bring you variety of modern folk music from around world by our friends on our Myspace page.
