World Music on Continental Drift

After drifting away to far places in almost all of our past shows, it was about time to bring you the beautiful vibes of the original dwellers of Continental Drift Show’s motherland. As President John F. Kennedy once said: “American Indians remain probably the least understood and most misunderstood Americans of us all.”

On this edition of the Continental Drift Show, we explore the Native American music and culture and to better understand this surprisingly vast and diverse culture we had an interview with Kevin Locke, one the most prominent and award winning Native American flute players and hoop dancers. In our conversation, we discussed various aspects of the Native American music and culture specifically that of South Dakota, Kevin Locke’s home state.
