World Music on Continental Drift

The Classical music has always overshadowed the local and folk music of the capital of Classical music, Austria. Sure this country has been the cradle of Mozart’s masterpieces and the birthplace of some everlasting Operas, but beneath all these world-renowned glories lies the indigenous vibes heard here and there in a cafe, bar, or on the corner of streets in small towns of Austria. This edition of the Continental Drift show starts off with some traditional and yodeling Austrian songs and moves on to contemporary bands influenced by their roots.
