romaniaIn addition to its 90% Romanian ethnic population, Romania is home to variety of minorities from around the Europe and this has created a unique multicultural environment. Romanian traditional and folk music has been kept alive and is still popular and has also inspired many contemporary bands. For this edition of Continental Drift, we tried to select variety of old and new traditional and folk songs and instrumental pieces and also dedicated a fair portion of the playlist to Romanian contemporary music. As always, Global Shuffle segment ended this show with half-an-hour of music from our friends on our MySpace page.
