Serbia
Serbian music, although very similar to the wider Balkan style, has it’s own distinct and unique sound. Serbia’s music has a special place in the culture and history of Serbia and it can be traced back to the medieval era with church and court music. Traditional ethnic Serbian music (Serbian Etno) include various kinds of instruments such as Gusle and Prim Tanbura that are unique to the Balkan and Eastern Europe region. The playlist of this edition of Continental Drift includes some traditional and village music as well as traditional and contemporary dance music and we certainly did not leave out the Jazz music of Serbia.
