East Asian Stringed Instruments
Although last week’s show was nonexistent due to circumstances beyond our control, we plan to make up for it with
a show not from one country, but a whole continent featuring string instruments from that region! Asia is home to a diverse array of musical styles and instruments, and this show features voices such as the Morin Khuur, the Gu Zheng, the Koto, and the Pipa, just to name a few. The playlist was selected carefully to highlight each of the instruments somewhat equally that are unique to Earth’s largest continent. We hope the musical education and journey and enjoyable for you!
Also make sure to check out this edition of Global Shuffle where featured the music of our friends on MySpace.com.
